Revive, Protect & Preserve Maryland’s Honeybee Population
My work as a beekeeper taught me something simple and powerful: when pollinators thrive, our entire environment thrives with them. Bees sustain our food supply, support local farms, strengthen ecosystems, and contribute to the health of our communities. Their decline is not just an environmental concern. It is an economic concern, an agricultural concern, and a community wellbeing concern.
Protecting pollinators is not just a catchy headline. It is a serious responsibility that connects directly to the future we hope to build.
What I Will Do:
Expand Local Pollinator Habitats
Encourage and protect spaces where bees and other pollinators can thrive, including parks, gardens, and community green areas.
Support Beekeepers and Conservation Programs
Provide access to resources, education, and equipment for new and experienced beekeepers, and foster partnerships with schools and community organizations.
Protect the Agricultural Economy
Strengthen support for farmers and gardeners who rely on pollination to ensure healthier harvests and a stable local food system.
Raise Community Awareness
Create workshops, school programs, and community initiatives that teach residents how to protect and support pollinators in their own neighborhoods.
Commitment to the Well-Being of Our Seniors and Retirees
Seniors built Annapolis. Many raised families here, served our community, and helped shape the character of District 30A. As your Delegate, I will uphold my responsibility to support stability, dignity, and independence for the people who built the community we all benefit from today.
This commitment is practical and results driven. Cost pressures should not force seniors to choose between essentials. State services should be accessible, timely, and accountable. Caregivers should not have to navigate a maze to get help.
Purpose
Support the wellbeing of seniors and retirees through stability focused policy that helps them remain safe, supported, and able to stay in the communities they helped shape.

• Expand targeted relief for seniors facing housing and utility burdens
• Support property tax fairness for longtime residents on fixed incomes
• Require transparent rate review and strong consumer protections when costs rise
Care Access and Continuity
• Reduce barriers to primary care and specialist access
• Strengthen support for seniors who need in home services
• Improve coordination across agencies so residents do not get trapped in paperwork loops
Safety and Accountability
• Strengthen protections against financial exploitation and fraud
• Improve response standards for complaints and casework delays
• Require clear reporting so residents can see what programs deliver and where gaps remain
Support for Caregivers
• Expand respite options and practical support for family caregivers
• Improve navigation support so caregivers can access resources without wasted time and dead ends
Accountability
Accountability has to be visible. State programs must show results and respond on time.
• Publish clear goals and measurable benchmarks for senior stability
• Provide public updates on outcomes and follow through
• Treat constituent service results as a performance standard, not a courtesy
Where additional oversight is needed, I will pursue tools that keep agencies focused on outcomes, including a Senior Stability & Retiree Retention Commission that produces public findings and an action plan tied to legislation.
District 30A focus
Annapolis has real day to day cost pressures that hit seniors first. My commitment is to support longtime residents, support aging in place, and keep our community livable for seniors today and for their families tomorrow.
Inspire Youth & Uplift the Community
Strong communities start with engaged, supported youth. My approach is simple: connect young people to the grassroots organizations, programs, and experiences that truly impact their lives, while supporting hobbies and interests that spark curiosity, creativity, and responsibility.

Connect Youth to Impactful Programs
Partner with local nonprofits and community organizations that provide mentorship, leadership, and real-world experiences that strengthen skills, confidence, and civic engagement.
Support Hobbies and Personal Growth
Encourage participation in hands-on activities like beekeeping, sports, art, animal care, and more. Hobbies teach responsibility, foster creativity, and help youth discover their passions.
Build Community Bridges
Create opportunities for young people to engage with neighbors, local leaders, and professionals who model positive habits, inspire growth, and strengthen the social fabric of our neighborhoods.
Celebrate Achievement and Effort
Recognize the dedication, creativity, and achievements of young people in school, sports, arts, and community initiatives, showing them that their work matters and their voices are heard.
Immigration & Community Support
Programs like 287(g), which ask local law enforcement to act as federal immigration agents, place impossible demands on officers and pull them away from their core mission of keeping our communities safe. At the same time, many Maryland residents facing immigration proceedings find themselves navigating a complex and intimidating system without proper legal support. Every person deserves fairness, dignity, and meaningful access to legal representation when facing immigration proceedings. Eliminating 287(g) allows police to focus on protecting neighborhoods while building trust with the community and ensuring that residents, regardless of immigration status, are treated fairly.
My goal is to further along a system that is compassionate, clear, and effective for all members of our communities.
Steps to Ensure Fairness for All Marylanders:
Remove Conflicting Responsibilities from Police
Eliminate 287(g) programs that place federal immigration responsibilities on local law enforcement. This allows officers to remain focused on public safety, strengthen community trust, and fulfill the core duties of local policing.
Uphold Due Process for Marylanders in Immigration Court
Support stronger legal aid, state funded defense support, and community based legal services so Maryland residents navigating immigration proceedings have a fair opportunity to be heard.
